Welcome! You are in the right place. See, there I am, Vegan Grammie Annie with my vegan granddaughter.
So, if you are reading this post, you know that I have a new site and you have decided to check it out. I hope that you like it!
There is lots of new stuff, like a Menu (who knew I could have that) with lots of tabs containing lots of info for you, my readers.
Perhaps you are wondering if I did this all by myself. Come on guys, you know me better than that. Web design is not a hidden talent of mine. In fact, I work very hard at being even semi proficient with a computer.
The Web Design help came from Stephen Schettini who has a very interesting background. He is a former Buddhist monk. He is also an author and a teacher. I first met Stephen when I attended one of his Mindful Reflection Workshops. I love working with him because he brings a very unique and wise perspective to all things related to computer technology, social media, websites and blogs.
Please check out Stephen’s websites for more info.

It turns out that transferring posts from one blogsite to another can bring a few glitches into one’s life. I am in the process of reformatting my posts to fit in with the style of my new website. It will take some time. Many of my posts are a bit wonky in terms of spacing, font, captions, photos and the like. But I will get there.
In the meantime, please explore all the new features and posts (they are coming, I promise) and let me know what you think.
May all beings be happy and free.
I love love love the new site! The logo, in particular, strikes a chord 🙂 I know this took so much work, and I think it was well worth it. Looking forward to see the posts to come.
Hi Allison,
I could not have done it without you. Many thanks. The logo has meaning for many of us.
Anne

Thank you so much, Dany. Having help from an expert makes all the difference for me. Still some few things to change, but it is coming along. I di publish one other post on this website. I am vegan because___________! you will see your thoughts featured there.
Anne
It all looks very nice.
Thanks so much, Caroline.

I like this new site. It presents the topic within one paragraph and if interested we can “Read more” about it.
The picture are always appropriate and supporting the topic of the day.
Thanks so much, Serge. Your support is always appreciated.

Hi Anne,
Your new website is marvellous. It’s well- organized, clean, uncluttered and simple to navigate. I like that the posts are in chronological order but you also have them categorized.
The dedication to you mother is heartfelt.
The logo is poignant and beautiful in its simplicity. The fact that it holds so much meaning makes it well chosen. It shows that you put a lot of thought into everything you place on this site.
I especially like the way you keep things positive and bring it back to the same message – compassion for every form of non human, sentient beings.
Annie’s Views is an excellent idea where you summarize your thoughts.
Will you have a newsletter – if so, it should be explained and if not, then it should be removed…. unless this is something that is to come.
Another “technical thing”…. the site name is linked to “About”; I don’t think this link is needed.
Posting has been kept simple which means you may get a lot more dialogue.
One suggestion…. please don’t feel obliged to add it…. perhaps another link in the menu could be to Resources to other information that you found helpful or that expand on your views.
Kudos to both you and Stephen on creating an inviting site! A+++
It was just a small technical thing. Your website name Vegan Grammie Annie linked to “About” in the menu. I was just saying that it was not necessary; however, on second thought, it’s fine and it does make sense.
Wishing you continued success!
Hi Cindy,
As always, thank you for all your positive feedback. A lot of the credit does go to Stephen for helping me to understand what makes for a successful website in terms of getting the word out about one’s goals and views.
Mom and red roses will always be a part of my life, so thanks for that.
I don’t think that hateful behaviour can be tempered by hateful action,so I keep trying to get the message out that kindness is the key to nonhuman animal liberation. If we see with the goodness in our hearts, we cannot continue to do what we do.
I am planning to have a newsletter, just have not found out yet from Stephen what exactly that means. We are still in the set-up stage.
When you say that the About link is not needed, do you mean that the info about the site is not needed?
You are right about resources. It will be a tab in the Menu. I just have to create it. Waiting for my computer to come back from the shop. There will also be a Blog Roll.
Take care, Cindy and thanks for your continued input and support.
Anne
I love your website and am reading this two years on in 2016. I am enjoying reading all your old articles as well as the new ones. I really like that they are all in chronological order so I can follow your vegan journey from past until present.
I love that your writing is always full of hope and filled with compassion. There is never any mention of any hate and this I like very much.
Love and compassion, I believe is the key to a better future where all animals are free to live the lives they want without the interference of human beings using them as slaves and treating them as property.
Congratulations on your new look website. It is an absolute joy to read
Take Care
Rachel
Hi Rachel,
Thank you for your kind comments and I am glad that you are enjoying the articles I write. Having experienced both sides of the coin in my life, as we all have, I prefer to lead with compassion rather than hate. I am glad that you agree.
Take care.
