Good New Year Morning,
This is the second post of my new(read work in progress) blog on the very first day of 2014. Now, I never was big on the over the top late nite celebration called New Year’s Eve, but when I was younger, I felt somehow compelled to join in. Now that I am a lady of a certain age, (61, but who is counting?) that need has disappeared. So my husband and I spent a quiet evening at home enjoying a hodgepodge salad of greens, seeds, nuts, olives, blueberries, cucumber, red pepper and creamy dressing, followed by a chaser of carrots and hummus. I am just realizing that I should have taken a picture to share with everyone,  but I am still in a very steep learning curve. We also enjoyed a glass of vegan beer and vegan wine-beer for him and wine for me.

Xmas is over, so the decorations are coming down. Our cat Chimpy will be sad about this because he spends most of the jolly season, lying comfortably under the tree. My husband is now allowed to attack the leftover desserts in the freezer.

Coconut Cherry Cake

For my part, I will get busy seeing where all of this leads me, hoping all the while that my computer and my understanding of all things IT fall into place with my goals.

Until  next time.
May all beings be happy and free.

Woah! That is one amped-up salad!! Very inspiring too – planning my next salad-as-meal. 🙂

My first comment from my number one girl! Thanks. Your father made it. I wasn’t sure about the black olive, blueberry combo, but it was actually quite good!
