MY FIRST NONHUMAN ANIMAL RIGHTS DEMONSTRATION

MY FIRST NONHUMAN ANIMAL RIGHTS DEMONSTRATION

I am in the process of reformatting this post. Stay tuned!

So, I did to go to the Nonhuman Animal Rights Demonstration in Old Montreal. I made my way there on my own. I was hoping to have some company, but hopefully, next time.My trusty GPS lady guided me (did I tell you that I am directionally challenged?) without any mix-ups. I always laugh at her funny pronunciation of our French Street names. Sometimes I have to see the street name …

VEGAN WAFFLES FOR EASTER BRUNCH!

VEGAN WAFFLES FOR EASTER BRUNCH!

Good Day,

So here I am talking about Easter again. But, I am getting excited. It is a chance for all of our family to get together. My daughter and my son-in-law

are making the long drive here to be with us and they are bringing with them my two favourite little kiddos- my granddaughter and grandson.

After all, family celebrations like this are, for me, largely about the little kiddos. So, …

NONHUMAN ANIMAL WELFARE DEMONSTRATIONS AND ADVOCACY

Good Day,

EASTER, HOLIDAY TRADITIONS AND VEGANISM

EASTER, HOLIDAY TRADITIONS AND VEGANISM

Good day,

Two weeks from today, we will be getting ready to celebrate Easter with the loves of my life-my family. My daughter and her family will be arriving from Hamilton the Friday before Easter. My son and his partner are planning to join the festivities on Sunday-Easter Sunday!

For us, Easter is about tradition and family celebration rather than religion. The Easter Bunny pays a visit to our home and leaves all sorts of goodies in exchange for some organic carrots left out for …

SMALL VICTORIES IN THIS VEGAN’S WORLD

Good Day,

I am happy to say that it appears to have worked. I did the whole “Changing of the Purse” thing on April first and lo and behold the weather has become quite spring like. We have had three days of glorious sun and warmish weather. No, not over 10 degrees Celsius, but a respectable 7 or 8. The huge snow bank on the front of our property has diminished somewhat. We heard the geese flying overhead one morning.
  In the …

VEGANISM- A PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE

Good Day,

A few years ago,I was introduced to veganism by my daughter

when she was researching Veganism. I can’t tell you exactly how she became interested in this very important issue, but I can tell you that she is a girl with a big heart.  Her main motivation is the plight of the nonhuman animals in this world who are caught in our cruel human industries and who cannot advocate for themselves.

Yes, we do hear about the occasional
